Tales To Keep You Up At Night

It's exactly 12:00 AM right now, so I thought I'd post something a bit ''spooky''.
Are you in bed already?! Then grab a hot cup of tea, coffee or whatever it is that you like to drink at this hour, and have fun! Try not to turn on the lights though... HAHAHA!

1 -  The first tale is Berenice, by Edgar Allan Poe - which is about a husband who was obsessed with his dead wife's teeth, therefore he decides to dig up her grave and remove them from her mouth.

2 - The second one is '' Pretending To Be Asleep Doesn't Work ''. I honestly don't know who the author is, but I wish I did, because this is a master piece!
It's about a little boy who witnesses the death of his parents, and gets really scared - without knowing what to do, he just closes his eyes while the killer is still in the house.

3 - The third one is, Footsteps. I also don't know who the author is, but this story is about 2 sisters who start hearing disturbing noises in the house when they're alone - I find the story creepy, since I, myself hear a lot of weird stuff in my house.

4 -  The fourth one is The Thing by Alvin Schwartz. Well, the title is already kind of creepy.
Imagine being in a cornfield.. For me, that's already scary during the day, maybe because I watch way too many horror movies - Now Imagine being there, at night.
Two boys are just hanging out near a cornfield, when one of them notices something just across the road - And I assure you, that the thing they saw... was not human.

I hope you enjoy these stories!!! Sweet Dreams.

Book Review: Fallen

'' But paradise is locked and bolted... We must make a journey around the world to see if a back door has perhaps been left open.''

Today I'm here with the first book review on this blog - And it's about this amazing book called FALLEN.

SYNOPSIS:

'' There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at Sword & Cross boarding school in Savannah. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are screwups, and security cameras watch every move.
Except Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce - he goes out of his way to make that very clear. But she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, Luce has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep a secret... even if it kills her. ''

My Opinion :

It's no secret that I completely loved it! It's mysterious and it makes you want to do nothing other than read it and read it and just keep reading it. It's obviously a love story and although it's a bit of a cliche, it's beautiful. You get really attached to the characters and their story.
It's a little boring at first, if you have no clue what's it about.. which in my case, I had no idea. But it gets better and better. It is so beautifully written! I already bought the sequel and I can't  wait for it to get here.
If you like romance, mystery and a bit of drama.. you will love this book! It`s great!! No wonder they turned it into a movie... I definitely give it a 10 out of 10! You won't waste your time.
